i strongly believe in astrology. especially in regard to which star signs i will or wont get along with. it has been proven to me time and again. i am not so sure about my daily horoscope as they can be so different depending which one i read. but i think that personality traits are more often than not true to our birth signs.
i am interested to know what our members think?

Astrology has been part of my life for almost 50 years. I don't believe in Astrology. I don't believe the Sun will rise in the east every morning.....I know it will. I don't believe in Astrology...I know it works.
The compatability between signs is generalized. True compatability between people has to do with how their unique natal birth charts aspect eachother. Twins born minutes apart can have different natal charts & will behave & react to the aspects of their individual charts. Each of us is a true individual; especially when it comes to astrology.
By the way, the horoscope columns you read in the newspapers & magazines are normally written using the chart of a celebrity or they are written as a generalization of what is effecting the sign at that time. Think of weather....Sacttered showers over your city means that some people will get a drop or two, some will get a downpour & some will not get a drop. But then again, they do carry the disclaimer that the horoscopes are only for entertainment. I always find them entertaining when they actually apply to something going on in my life.

I don't read daily horoscopes as they are generally rubbish produced on a mass scale for the readers of newspapers, but the profile for my birth sign,(Aquarius) really fits the bill, as does the one for the Chinese sign of the Monkey.... so there's definitely something in it ! Aquarian Monkey...a right combination  |

In case you didn't know about the daily horoscopes, Ill let you in on why they don't sound like your life. Most astrologers that print a daily horoscope use one of two methods.
Some use a transit chart & do their readings for each sign, generalized for the whole sign. This is like reading the weather report that says scattered showers over your city/area. Some will experience showers, some will only get a few drops & others won't receive a single drop.
Some will use a celebrity chart for each sign. Although Charlie Sheen is a Virgo & was born on my birthday, I was born in a different year: therefore a different chart. His life & chart doesn't read like my life at all; which is probably good for both of us.
I'm lucky, if you want to call it lucky, if the daily horoscope comes even close to applying to my life, once every year or so. The only way to get an accurate reading is to get one based on your own natal chart. Or, be a celebrity that the astrologer uses for that sign.

i am not a great believer in my daily horoscope (though i will have a quick look in the paper!). i think they are a bit of fun and should just be taken lightly. after all, if you think about it - if they were true then one twelfth of the population would all be having the same kind of day! having said that, i am hoping to have a daily horoscope as part of the astrology page when it is up and running as i know a lot of people do like to read them mary xx |

I read a personal one that has numerology in it with my name, there is also a site I know with indepth analysis of your whole life (using numerology), I wouldn't like to advertise it on this website or anything without permission, so if anyone is interested/Mary will let me post the website then let me know.

Yeah i do beleive in astrology!
Especially things like telling me which starsign im best matched to etc...im perfect partner with Scorpio - and thats my husband & soulmate!
Plus it describes everything about me....dreamy, un-realistic,trustworthy,creative,attention lover & so on!
Based on the day to day ones i read in papers etc...arent always true! But sometimes something rings true for me!

The question of belief? well everyone has their own interpretation of what their stars are saying. I view mine as a puzzle. things unfold and need piecing together in order to understand. Sometimes I find a piece that just doesn't fit. I can take it or leave it. Personally I find mine fascinating...is there really a connection there with my own inner thoughts? Or is it just the aquarian ecentric mind working over time...lol. I do believe but then sometimes I question my self.

If I had your birth data, Ruth, I could probably answer some of your questions. As of now, all you have given me is that you are/might be an Aquarian. As I have said before, each person has their own unique birth chart. It would be so much easier to explain astrology if we had 'cookie-cutter' birth charts. That way a Cancer's would be all like this & Virgo's would all be like that. But then...how boring that would be.
Just like in cooking, it is the combination of ingredients & spices that make dishes different. In my country, a good example is the Chilli Cook-offs. A hundred cooks & a hundred different tastes. Some so-so, some great...all chilli.
When studying astrology, you examine famous peoples charts to see how the planets,houses, signs, & aspects explain the person. You also study your own chart, to see how it works in your own life. There are times, when studying an aspect, you come to the realization that rather than life experience, anyone with this aspect behaves this way. Once you understand why you do the things you do, you can choose the do something different, if you want.
