Seeing as this is the Christmas season, I thought I'd ask if anyone knew the real date, the birth of Jesus should be celebrated on? If there was a "real" Jesus, he would have a natal chart that would indicate who he was & what might lie in store, during his life. There has been astrological research done on this subject & a date (and chart) has been selected that seems to be accurate astrologically. It is widely acknowledged, that the December celebration was picked for convenience, rather than an actual birthdate. There are many "clues" in the Bible that point to the time period of the birth. We all remember the story of the "Three Wisemen" & their journey to visit the "new king" born in Bethlehem. They were called "wisemen" because they were Astrologers. They had seen his coming in their charts & followed the star/stars to to find him. Astrologers were, after all, always looking for patrons to give them support, in the future; and a king was usually grateful for astrological advice. So, any guesses on a date?

It's been more than a month since I've posted this question & except for Marys "I don't know", no one has made any comments. I don't know if that is because no one knows & doesn't want to anyone to think them lacking knowledge; or they just weren't interested in the question. Oh, well! The answer is: March 1st 2016 years ago this year. This is based on the work of Rev. Don "Moby ****" Jacobs, who was a Methodist Minister, biblical scholar & Astrologer. Using biblical 'facts' & modern computers, he was able to recreate the positions of the planets that corresponded to the time period & astrological makeup of the "King of Kings - Prince of Peace". For more information, please check: sos.netonecom.net/webpub/Jayj/default.htmIf you would like to see the natal chart, I have a copy in my Photos file, under Natal Charts, on my Bebo profile - link is on my Tranquil Waters profile. PS: I have found that there must be some words and/or spellings that can't be used. It didn't seem appropriate to use Richard for ****, I guess even if it was used as the title of a famous book.

hey ben - sorry that this topic didn't get much interest. as you know, i am fascinated by astrology, but maybe in a less "deep" way than you. you will probably see that when the astrology page finally goes live (hold ups and problems at the mo ) i was booked into an astrology course back at the beginning of last year, but it was cancelled due to lack of interest and has never been advertised again i suppose i am far more knowlegeable about other things that i have a deep interest in, such as the Crystals and Angels and will have to leave the deeper side of astrology on this forum in your good hands Mary xx

No need to apologize for not having a lot of knowledge on astrology. Most people I have encountered over the years, respond with ,"So, what's my future?", when they find out that I'm an astrologer; or "I'm a Libra, when/who will I marry?" With just a little knowledge, you are far more educated than most. I guess we can blame years of newspapers & magazines, for reducing a science to entertainment. Although I am far from being a scholar on the subject; I would be pleased to answer any questions anyone has on astrology in general, or give instruction in specific areas of study.

Sorry I must have missed this one, I am fascinated with when 'Jesus' was born! Always knew that it wasn't Dec 25th, since the 'Church' in it's infifnte wisdom decided that 'Pagans' shouldn't be allowed to celebrate the winter solstice, because they believed that they were worshipping the Devil! How arrogant!

When the Church decided to establish the birth of Jesus as a celebration, no one knew the exact date so they used a solstice celebration, to give the peasants a substitute for the pagan holiday. Spring was the logical time of year for the birth. that's why the stable had room at night during the census.
