What's the difference? Is being psychic something you can learn or you're born with? Anyone know?

A lot has to do with semantics. They both receive their information from Spirit or their Guides. The differences seem to be with the way it is received, the type of information or how much is received. Such as: a sensitive might get a feeling that someone is not trustworthy. A psychic will probably know what the person may have done.
This is another one of the things that you bring with you, like being able to paint or play a sport. Some have a little, some have more than they want. I have been told by many psychics that I am very psychic. I have one problem, though. My Virgo logic takes hold of any information I receive & tries to track down where the information came from. Did I receive it psychically, did I read it some place, did I learn it years ago, did someone just tell me about it? After the information has been thoroughly dissected, there is usually nothing left to tell me if I received it psychically or not. Over the years I have found a "happy" medium & have learned to trust the information I receive & used it appropriately.

going on that information, i would say that i am a bit of each. sensitive - i usually get a feeling about someone on a first meeting. often, if i feel that i dont like or trust a person immediately, i feel guilty if they have done nothing to warrant that. but inevitably it turns out that i was right to trust my first instinct by later events. psychic - in my case it is mostly small things, like knowing who is calling or texting before i look or answer the phone. there have been some bigger things in my life in the past, too - like a horrible feeling that something really bad will happen, but not knowing what - those kind of feelings i really would rather do without on the other hand, reading the cards gives me a lot of pleasure. i have such complete faith in them and the Angels and Guides that are helping me to get it right for people who are looking for guidance, and hopefully help them. so there is good and bad about being psychic/sensitive in my opinion, and i do believe, looking back to my childhood and thoughts that i had then - that you truly are born with it. thanks for starting this thread, sara mj xx

As I said, it's a matter of semantics. Our world/culture has made up words that divide us, especially in the English language. Think of how many words there are for the same thing or item. Most of them were made up to make something special or more special. Psychics & sensitives are the same because they receive their information from the same source. It is only in how & the amount of information they receive that differs. We call a someone a fisherman whether they use a pole, a net, or other equipment to catch the fish. As with our other senses, we each have our own level of sensitivity. I can hear my cell phone chirp when the battery is low, from another room. My wife is lucky if she can hear hers across the room. Someone said that the message was more important than the messenger.
